Description
This wine comes from a block at the back of Sevenhill that borders my Grandfather’s farm. On high ridge the rows run North South at an elevation of 470m and the vines are 20 years old.
From the 2017 Vintage, 3 barrels were selected from the original production with two new French oak and 1 old and the wine was left to age in the barrels for 18 months. In final blending 5% Shiraz was added to finish the wine to produce a lovely soft Sangiovese with the development of classic aged characteristics giving the wine more depth and complexity.
