About

OUR STORY

Skye and I had a dream and a vision to follow a passion, to make premium wine with the focus on Shiraz. We spent two years planning and searching for the right vineyard and it wasn’t until we visited the Clare Valley that we knew we had found our perfect spot. Re-connecting with family and the family history in the Clare Valley was a wonderful experience and the sense of community in the Clare Valley was very welcoming.  In January 2014 our family arrived in the Clare Valley to embark on our new adventure to pursue a passion to grow Shiraz and produce premium small batch wines.

In returning to the Clare Valley I reacquainted myself to an area that I regularly visited over 35 years ago as a boy when I would visit and work on my Grandfather’s farm. You never really appreciated the beauty and depth of a place until you have spent time away and then returned with life’s experiences. We have now become part of the 4th Generation to farm in the Clare Valley after my Grandfather and Great Grandfather got the ball rolling in 1936 to breed Angus Beef Cattle.

The focus for our wines is to produce premium wine from single vineyard sites in the Clare Valley. Our main priority is our dry grown Shiraz vineyard where I have 100% control from vineyard to bottle, to produce wines which have concentration of flavour and colour that highlight the unique characteristics of our vineyard.  I have also been keen to pull fruit from other interesting vineyards in the region that have the ability to show individual character, region and quality and capture this in wines we produce. I am planning to expand our vineyard to include Malbec, Mataro and Sangiovese to ensure that we can maintain the quality of the fruit we use to make our wines.

We hope you enjoy our wines!

Cheers

Mark, Skye, Thomas and Samuel.
